Nalco Comapny has an opening for a Treasury Manager in our Finance Group located in Naperville, IL. We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to bring their experience and desire to have a positive impact on the organization. This is a specialized role that requires understanding and management of the company's cash position. The selected person will be responsible for cash operations; short-term investments; and assessing the products, services, technologies and systems that are available and appropriate for the company.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Lead US Treasury efforts in choosing and implementing a new global treasury workstation, includes conversion from existing SunGard system.
- Manage current banking relationships, identifying opportunities to add efficiencies in day-to-day treasury operations. Includes: procurement, analysis and negotiation of treasury services, bank fee analysis, and addressing quality issues. Maintains close coordination with International Treasury, A/R, Credit, Accounting and subsidiaries.
- Identify and evaluate economic and transactional foreign currency exposures; Assists in the development of foreign exchange policies and controls; organize and execute foreign exchange transactions and hedging solutions.
- Manage the legal documentation of inter-company loan portfolio, letters of credit or other forms of financial guarantees. Includes: evaluating funding requirements; setting interest rates in accordance with transfer pricing policy; repayment schedules.
- Work with Tax, Finance and Legal on capital funding, movement of cash among the group, dividends and other repatriation strategies. Sets overall direction and serves as global subject matter expert and advisor to regional treasuries on the company's global cash management strategy, operations, processes, treasury management systems and internal and external system interfaces .
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures and controls for the Treasury organization as required for SOX compliance. Ensures compliance with internal controls in all aspects of cash management activities. Complete necessary compliance testing.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational sessions; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
- Train, develop, organize, and evaluate the work of two subordinates.
The minimum qualifications the candidate will have include:
- BS/BA in Financial discipline, MBA/CPA a plus, CTP strongly preferred
- 7+ years of direct treasury experience including supervisory role within a global reach company. Experience should include: US cash positioning; inter-company transactions; foreign exchange trading; guiding international business units in treasury issues
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with demonstrated business impact in previous position(s), including a broad financial understanding of financial markets, financial statements, accounting, and forecasting
- Independent problem solving skills to interpret and question data inputs, understand how to use results to support alternative recommendations and drive projects to positively impact the business
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to summarize ideas and data clearly and concisely in a persuasive and appropriate manner to both finance and non-finance individuals
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), various banking systems, treasury workstations (including implementation), and SAP
